Als je denkt aan Vrijheid in Business, want betekent dat voor jou?⁠ ⁠Vrijheid is iets wat iedereen wel wil. Want het tegen over gestelde willen we niet, gebonden zijn, vastzitten. Daar kies je natuurlijk niet voor.

Alleen als je praat over vrijheid, dan bedoelt niet iedereen hetzelfde. Het heeft zo verschillende veel ladingen. Vrijheid voor je business, wat betekent dit dan voor jou?

Voor mij betekent vrijheid in je business:⁠

• Dat je vrij bent om iets te doen waarvoor je gemaakt bent. ⁠
• Dat je niet iemand anders visie volgt, maar je eigen visie creëert. ⁠
• Dat je vrij bent om je eigen balans te zoeken van gezin & werk.
• En dat het OK is dat dit balans erg verschillend is per persoon.⁠
• Dat je vrij bent om je eigen leven te creëren. Niet een leven waarbij je de hele dag niks doet, want daar geloof ik niet in, maar jij

Mijn favoriete reactie op mensen drukte en stress is altijd geweest: "Maar het kan toch ook anders?", wat me natuurlijk niet altijd in dank werd afgenomen.

Sommige mensen zitten zo vast in hun patronen van werk, druk, sociaal, afspraken, commitments en gezin dat ze geen uitweg zien uit de drukte. ⁠ ⁠

Ik geloof dat een business bouwen waarbij je maar een paar uurtjes werkt, eerder een uitzondering is dan de regel. Natuurlijk zijn er mensen die dit zo hebben gebouwd, maar er zal in vele gevallen eerst even goed gewerkt moeten worden. Hard werken is goed, maar...⁠ ⁠

Een ding stond bij mij altijd als een paal boven water. Hoe leuk ik het vind om mijn eigen bedrijf te bouwen, het moet vooral passen in combinatie met mijn gezin. Mijn huwelijk mag er niet onder leiden, mijn gezin moet floreren en ik wil tijd over houden voor de dingen die écht belangrijk vind in het leven. ⁠ ⁠

I often felt a strange one, feeling the odd one in a group. I felt that the type of personality was rare, and thought that something must be wrong with me. Did you ever felt like you are the strange one in your group?

I used to be in Advertisement for 8 years. Talking with clients, creating something nice, working together in a team of professionals, being in a creative environment, and doing many different projects at the same time. My role was project & account management. I still love this world. I like to pressure, the deadlines, the hectic, the clients, and the fact that no day is the same.

At the same time, I don’t believe in long hours anymore. I love it that I can put my time in the places I value more than work at the office. And even though I lived for a certain kind of stress (it makes you work harder and take faster decisions), it is also a toll on your body. Your body holds the stress in, even if you are not aware or feel this.

Content is king and the easiest way for people to digest that is video. Video has still the most impact and helps you to become a trusted expert really fast.

#1 Keep it simple
Your first video shouldn’t be complicated. You can add all the bells and whistles later on, but first gain some success by making it very simple, coming up with a simple plan. Something as easy as a talking head as you see now, and then adding in some detail shots, (that’s also known as B-roll)

#2 Have a storyline
Figure out what you want to say, how you’re going to say it, and why. And have an end goal in what you want to accomplish with what you’re saying

#3 Don’t sweat it about the camera
Even something as simple as your smartphone, your iPhone, your Android device, whatever, can create great videos. Just make sure it stays steady. Make sure the focus is not going all over the place. But these things can definitely work.
